Cam's party is 2 days away... it's cake making day!!

I have a slight delima over the cake, which I'm sure I'll figure out lol

I was originally making a round cake with black and white checked edible icing around the side, and a black racing track on top.... Then I changed my mind and was making a rectangle cake with the same checks on the side and a #3 shaped racetrack on top...  the problem I now have is that I don't have enough of the edible icing for the side... now I have a cake shop about 20mins away that has black and white checked cake ribbon available. So I'm trying to decide what to do - stick with the round cake, or head on out to get the ribbon to make the rectangle cake.... OR - flag the sides, shape the rectangle cake into a #3

I'll let you know how I get on...

I am making traffic light jelly in clear plastic cups.  The green jelly has gone into the cups this morning, and is setting nicely... nearly time to make the orange jelly...

{excuse my messy fridge - I had to shift everything to make room for the jelly cups}

And now it's time to start making the cupcakes and the loot bags :) be back later with more photos

Cammy's Birthday Invite

I enlisted some help from the lovely Bronwyn from 1001 book review for kids for this one.  She is so clever.

Cammy is turning 3 - WOW!!

So planning is well underway for his party in just under 3 weeks time... venue is booked, invites are out, the countdown is on - 21 days btw

Lists are being made...

• Adults food list

I'm really excited... this is the birthday where he actually understands a thing or two about birthdays and parties and presents :)

And the cake - I've got it all sorted in my head... lets just hope it works :)

Kids Birthday Season is fast approaching

• July 20 - Paris
• August 4 - Josh
• September 29 - Cam

So now is the time to start thinking about presents, parties and cakes...

Presents - this is hard, I have no idea what to get the older two this year, and have a couple of ideas for Cammy...

Parties - the kids have been told they have a couple of friends over to do a fun activity with ie: ice skating, go karting... OR they can do something awesome like the shark cage at Kelly Tarltons. {Paris is finding it very very hard to decide between the two options}

Cakes - now this is the part I have no issues with at all... the kids just need to tell me what they want cake wise, and I will try my very hardest to make it for them... at this stage Paris has mentioned she wants a guitar cake {she doesn't even play the guitar}, I dont' think Josh has realised that the birthdays are fast approaching, so I may have to gently remind him lol... and well - Cammy is still too young to understand fully, however, he LOVES his toy doggy, and doggy comes everywhere with us, so I am thinking about a Doggy Cake
