The kitchen...

Not much more to report since this post about our renovations... EXCEPT - I finally have had some of my splash back installed... only some, as I have to save up to buy the rest... but oh well, I'm still loving what I have:

DIY - on a budget

When we first viewed our house, we fell in love with it the minute we walked in the door... but we also knew that we couldn't live with the kitchen for too long...

So we bought a new {to us} kitchen off trade me a few months ago... and the results were perfect...

We still have to decide on a splashback and do the floors, but other than that, it's finished... it's so nice to have a dishwasher after 13mths without one... and the cupboard space is amazing!!!!

Ever since we moved in, I am been trying to figure out where to hang some of my most favourite things... and it's kinda tormented me not having them up in sight, but I didn't want to hang them anywhere less than perfect for them and for me...

 

I finally found that place, and I think they look awesome

 

 

Photo Wall

Ever since I rented my first house, I have dreamed about owning my own house, and creating a photo wall in the hall way...

We have been in our house for 10mths now, and on Sunday I finally started working on my photo wall...  I hope to add to this over the years and one day full the whole wall with pictures that I love

 

 

This of course means, that the heat is now on for me to start sourcing cool frames in op shops :) tehe... like I need an excuse to go op shopping more often

I'm Sorry...

I've been so super duper slack with my blogging lately... although in my defence, the last couple of months have been very hectic for me...

So we moved house 4 weeks ago... into our first home... so exciting... we have spent a fair bit of the last 4 weeks setting up rooms, then re-arranging the rooms, then re-arranging them again... and on and on and on and on... but it's fun, and pretty much everything is now as we want it to remain :)

We are now saving up to do up our kitchen a bit, something we are both very much looking forward to doing...

Cam is a changed kid since the move... in the old house, his nightly routine was to climb into our bed and watch a DVD till he fell asleep... but in the new house, he hasn't even watched a single DVD... at all!! his new bedtime routine is to play a game of memory on the tablet, then climb into his top bunk, and go to sleep... we don't have to sit with him or anything... it's brilliant...

Axel is sleeping alot better also... see the boys are now in seperate bedrooms, it's making such a difference during the night... we love it!

Paris and Josh are tired... as we are commuting them all the way back to Mt Roskill {we live in Papakura} for school... but it's only till the end of the year, as we thought it would be better for them to remain in their school this year and finish year 8 then start fresh at a new school next year.

All in all - things are coming along nicely.

We are all moved in to our new house and settling in nicely, will blog more once i get my new computer (long story) as it's hard to post with the tablet lol

more on the house...

Because I am so super duper excited... I just want to talk about our NEW HOUSE all the time...

did I tell you guys, it's got 5 bedrooms?? yup you read that right, 5!!!! bedrooms!!!!

and a rumpus???!!!

and a conservatory???!!!

And the worlds biggest linen cupboard???!! {ok prob not the WORLDS biggest, but the biggest I've ever seen}

Absence...

I've been a bit absent from my blog... I've not gone far... I have a few posts up my sleeve, but I'm pretty busy...

see... we bought a house... yup, a house...eeeekkkkk

we settle on 17th August, and move on the 18th August... thats less that a month away... I have to pack... a whole house... 4 bedrooms and a toyroom... 4 kids and 2 adults... and I still have to go to work... still have to cook/clean/run around after kids... am still planning a wedding... AND I have a review or two to do also...

So... I wont be around too much in the next 3-5 weeks...
