Bamatoes!! *

And lots of 'em.....
This is only half of what we took off the plants the other day, the rest are in the freezer

Oh, and while we are on the subject... Check out what is left of a corguette** my mate gave me from her garden {this is after we had some BBQ'd with dinner}

it made ALOT of babyfood thats for sure

* Bamatoes is Cammy's name for Tomatoes
** I think that once a corguette becomes this size, it may actually be called a Marrow

Vege Garden

A couple of weeks ago we set down our vege garden... we changed location from last years garden, and also built it up - one might say "we are getting better at this" lol

We have planted:
  • lettuce {2 types}
  • tomatoes {3 types}
  • beans
  • cauliflower
  • silverbeet
  • capsicum {2 types}
  • spring onion {transplanted from last years garden}
We have corgettes and cucumbers to plant still at this stage, but they are going to go in last years spot so as not to strangle or take over this garden.

Well our vegie garden has been pretty good to us this year... lots of tomatoes, peas and capsicums... the spring onions are not far away from being ready also... but the winner this year is:

yup the scrummy grapes off the already existing grape vine... we get approx this many grapes in every day!! the kids and I are in heaven!!

Our Vegie Garden

At long last we have moved house, and are now fully settled in...

So it was time to plant out the vegie garden... Now being in a new house, we had to start from stratch {when I say me, I actually mean Ian and the kids - cause I'm too pregnant lol}

I didn't get any photo's of them digging the garden as I was too busy inside looking after Cam, but here are the pics of the finished result:

The brocolli and the pumpkins were started off site in pots at the old house, but they have transferred well, the Tomatoes and Capsicums are all newly bought and planted - still have carrots, radish, and cucumbers to plant

Strawberries and Peas transported from the old house... these are growing really well, so we won't transplant them into the ground
