Happy 5th Birthday

A massive happy 5th Birthday goes out to my most adorable darling boy Cammy... it's hard to believe that he is 5 already, and due to start school in a little over a week.  His birthday was last week and was celebrated with many a friends and family.  Here are a few photos

Birthday Blues

Yesterday was my Birthday... I celebrated turning another year old, by having a Pot Luck dinner at home with family and good friends, I had a lovely evening and I even made my own cake.

I have been wanting to do this blossom design on a cake for some time now, so what better opportunity than for my own cake, and Blue is my favourite colour.

This morning I attended a course on making Fondant figures... Here is what I made...

Can't believe he is 4 already...

Cam turned 4 a couple of weeks ago.  I can hardly believe that it has been 4 yrs already since I first held him in my arms and kissed his chubby cheeks! 

The great thing about 4 yr olds, is they tell you what sort of birthday party they want, and Cam is no exception to the rule... and so... we had a Pirate Party

It was a whole heap of fun...we had a game of pass the parcel and a piniata... all the kids had a blast... and as usual Cam got spoilt rotten xx

It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I love it... I know the recipient will too... The birthday party is at spookers so the cake fits the theme perfectly...

The other morning, Cam wanted a piece of cake... After eating all the icing, he then left the cake... and Axel found it... I walked into the lounge to see this:

I took the photo after he had shoved a whole piece of cake bigger than his fist into his mouth :)

Well, I've done it... I've booked myself onto a cake decorating course.  It's in a couple of weeks, and I'm so excited...

Happy 2nd Birthday Cammy

Today is my baby boy's 2nd birthday... and what a glorious day it was weather wise... we started the day by giving him his new train set, he loved it!!!

Then it was off to Plunket for our 2year check - all is well, and Cammy is progressing nicely :)  What more can a mother ask for?

After that, it was off to daycare, where all his little friends {and teachers} were waiting for him to arrive so they could start the party - I made cupcakes for his daycare cake:

After a busy day at daycare it was off to Nana's for a lovely family dinner of Chinese takeaways...

Paris' Birthday Cake

after much deliberation Paris finally decided on a toadstall cake for her 11th birthday... so I set to making one... 

This cake challenged me more than other cakes I've made for two reasons... it was my first time using fondant icing, and it was my first ever "double" layer cake...

Now at this point, I must mention that I did not make the fondant fairies at all.  These were made by a good friend of mine, with the help of her daughter and Paris

Time to start baking...

tonight is the night I have to bake Paris' birthday cake... and tomorrow I have to decorate it... and sunday I have to watch it get cut *cry* and eaten *sobs*
