Things I've been very thankful for this time round...
Obviously my health - this pregnancy has most likely been my easiest healthwise... there are lots of contributing factors to that, the main one being that I gave up smoking 2 1/2 years ago, so my body was actually good to start with :)
Other things I've been extremely thankful for this time round are:
I'm not sure how I would have coped without the old faithful quick-eze... even now at over 41 weeks, the heartburn is unbearable without it...
My water filter... which goes well with the ice I've been craving {see this post}...
bub2b maternity clothing... available at K-mart stores nationwide... affordable, comfortable and fashionable... what more can I say...

trying to bring baby on...
Well this morning I have an appointment with my midwife to be monitored again on the CTG {I can see this becoming the story of my life till baby arrives} and for another stretch n sweep... after that, I really seriously need to look at ways of naturally bringing this baby on, because Wednesday 30th March, 7.30pm is actually fast approaching, and I don't want to be induced if I can help it...
I had booked an acupuncture session for later today, but wont make it in time with having to be monitored this morning so I've had to cancel it, and will rebook for Monday/Tuesday if I'm still pregnant, which fingers crossed I wont be....
So wish me luck...

UPDATE from this morning's post...
Had monitoring at the hospital, and baby is doing everything s/he should be doing... I was even having tightenings {I thought I have been having them}... scan showed bub's has plenty of fluid still, and placenta is working perfectly...
SO....
They are happy to let me go 7 more days... induction has been booked for Wednesday 30th March, 7.30pm, but here's hoping I don't need it...
now come on little bubba - it's time to come out now...

Time to get Monitoring...
Today I am 11 days overdue by my dates, and 5 days overdue by scan dates. I had a midwife appointment yesterday, and while all is well with both me and bubs, my midwife had to refer to the hospital doctors for monitoring/induction talks etc etc...
And yesterday afternoon {like 3 hrs after she faxed them} the hospital contacted my midwife to inform her that they required my presence at 10am today for a day stay in the Day Assessment Unit... I have no idea what will be happening today...
I have no idea what to expect and I'm kinda nervous to be honest... But I will try and keep you all informed...

Bargin of the year...
Truth be known... I've been looking for a swing set on Trade Me for ages... My budget was $100 but even when looking second hand, there isn't much you can get for that sort of money... yet a brand new one was just so far out of reach for us at the moment {at close to $300} that we had no other option but to keep looking...
Now we all know, I love a bargin as much as the next person... So when one of the other mummies over at Cheeky Monkey put up a link to what appeared to be the worlds cheapest, brand new, swing set... how could I resist...
And boy oh boy am I glad I did... this my friends, is the best $52 I have EVER spent {including postage and packaging}...

Quick Update...
I'm still in one piece...
41 weeks today - who would have thought I'd make it this far, 4 weeks ago, my midwives didn't even think I'd get to 38 weeks... !!
I've got a photo, but it's on my camera, which is in the car, and I can't be bothered getting off my backside to get it inside :)
My feet have been very very swollen, so am concentrating hard on staying off them for now...
So thats where I'm at...

big day...
Well today is my due date... what does the day ahead of me hold...?
At this stage {9.19am} the day ahead is a day filled with working around the house... there are lawns to be mowed, gardens to be weeded, a swing set to put together {more about that another day soon}, a bedroom to complete {ours}, washing to be down, trees to be pruned...
So to all those wondering.... no I haven't yet had the baby... hopefully I don't go too far overdue... but I'm ok with being a little late :)

I love....
my pushchair... I have had the same brand since Paris was born, but upgraded it to the latest model when Cammy arrived... I also have this cool toddler seat for it, for when I have my niece or any other extra with me....
But with a new baby on the way - I wanted something I could use for both baby and Cammy in all types of weather - after all, I have the hockey season to get through don't I... so I bit the bullet and purchased the reclining toddler seat... which looks like this:
and is suitable from newborn up to 25kgs... so yay... now I have a double pushchair, that is also still so very easily a single pushchair if and when needed... and during the wet winter hockey season, but kiddies will be covered and dry...

Work in Progress
Ever since moving in here about 6 mths ago, I've been on and on at Ian to help me organise the study... After our Summer holiday, I came home, and even though he had been home for a week, still nothing had been done... so with a bit of help from the older kids, we transformed the study from this:
To this:
in one day... watch this space for the finished product...
