The search is over...

for so long now, I have been searching for a toy storage device {and soon to be Axel's} bedroom... I wanted something that made toy access easy, and the clean up just as easy.  BUT - any old thing wouldn't do... no, I've been searching for something that I could paint to match the "jungle" theme, or was already themed to match...

Over the weekend, my search came to end... and boy oh boy am I happy with my purchase:

Isn't it awesome?... Now to sort the toys out into it.... *sigh*

The New Caravan...

We finally took possession of our new caravan over Queens Birthday Weekend... We were so comfy in it... We LOVE the extra space...

Yesterday was my grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversay {also my mum and step-dads 26th}

We had a lovely surprise afternoon tea for them.  The day was a happy occassion, marked with a little sadness as my nana has been diagnosed with Cancer and is too frail to fight it... This is most likely their last wedding anniversary...

I know my grandparents love each other very much... my grandad hates leaving the house without nana for fear she will have a fall or a bad turn while he is out... it breaks my heart to see his heart breaking...

I can only hope that me and Ian can be as happy together in our 80's as my grandparents are...

What have I got myself into...?

I am insane... I'm sure of it...

Axel has just gone 9 weeks old, and I am looking after a 6mth old girl for 6-7 weeks while her mum returns to work temporarily... normally this sort of work is right up my alley... but normally I wouldn't have two babies at the same time... I could NEVER have coped with Twins... and take my hat off to anyone who does have them...

The problem is, is that this darling little girl is breastfed and flat out REFUSES to take the bottle.. which is causing, me and her mum both some stress... she has breakfast and then refuses to eat anything else during the day also... so come 2pm-ish she is a mess... she is hungry, and wont take anything... by the time her dad picks her up at 5.30ish she is a right-off... and to be honest, so am I...

I have yet to make a single dinner since taking on this job... I'm too busy during the day, and too stressed by evening... I just want to crawl under a rock by the time Ian gets home from work...

I'm not even sure I have the strength to continue looking after her for the rest of the time... *sigh* what to do, what to do...

plunket update

Had a plunket visit today...

Axel is 9 weeks 3 days old, and now weighs 6.16kgs {75th percentile} and is 61 cms long {91st percentile}... Cammy sat on and still sits on the 50th percentile, and Paris never made it there lol... yup, Axel is a bigun :)
