those of you who know me, know that I love my caravan... and I love my camp spot...
I've been camping in the same spot with my family now for over 20years. My kids love it as much as I did as a kid, and as an adult, I truely believe that I spend my entire summer in paradise...
see for yourself
So all there is to say now is: roll on summer :)

More Nappies
I love nappies :) I've posted about my love of nappies over here
Our night time nappy covers were in need of a bit of TLC to be honest. I found the velcro tabs too small and not really practicle for a on the move toddler, and they would often come off or loose in the playtime before bed...
So I was thinking about it for ages, and then it hit me - why don't I pop bigger velcro tabs on??
A trip to spotlight in the weekend, and I had all the velcro I needed and I already had some fabric scraps lying around to sew on the other side of the velcro. So today - while I had some spare time I changed our nappies from this:

Sew much fun
some of you may be aware that a few months ago, I bought a sewing machine. I've wanted to buy one for ages, and finally this one came up on special for only $210 so I bought it :)
Then of course I needed a project, so decided to make something very simple, but very needed - A table cloth for Cam's table. So off fabric hunting I went and bought this:
Very nice, isn't it? and it looks great on his table
now of course - this was several months ago now, and I've been having to turn this tablecloth around fairly quickly whenever it's in need of a clean, so I found myself browsing the fabric at spotlight once again. There really isn't much to choose from that's bright and funky to be honest, but I found this:
Which is similar to the original, but still different and cool :)
and again - it looks great on the table

Lolly Cake
I've never made this before, but have wanted to make it for ages... so over the weekend I made it :)
Ingredients
120 grams butter
250 grams malt biscuits – crushed
190 grams eskimos - cut into pieces
½ tin condensed milk
Coconut – for coating
Method
Melt the butter and condensed milk together.
Add the biscuits and lollies.
Stir the mixture well.
Form the mixture into logs or small balls and roll in the coconut.
Place in fridge for approximately 4 hours to set.
Once set cut logs into slices

The hair
It was really just a trim, and was really just to get his dad off my back about his unruly hair lol but it was still his 1st Hair Cut... My sister is the hairdresser, so he was very well behaved for his Aunty.

Tea Towel Swap
Some of you will remember a few months back I was part of online Sock Swap. Well the Cheeky Monkey mummies have been at it again - this time with, A Tea Towel Swap. I had so much fun hunting for a Tea Towel to send to my swappe :)
It was also very exciting opening the package containing the Tea Towel that had been sent to me. What do you think?
I love the colours... and kinda don't want to "use" the tea towel :)

Sick of Sickness
It seems to me that Cam has been sick an awful lot lately... I feel like I am forever taking time off work to be at home with him due to illness...
He is once again sick... He has been a little unwell since the weekend, but this afternoon/evening he went downhill fast... and now on top of whatever bug he is fighting, he also has conjunctavitis... I already have a doctors appointment for him for tomorrow, but not till 3.50pm {the first available appointment I could get when I called at 11am today}... I will call again in the morning, and speak to the nurse, to see if we can't be seen earlier...
He is so unwell, and I can't bear to see him like this... he is getting fevers, has major green running nose, cough started up this morning, and now the conjunctavitis...
Fingers crossed he starts getting better after our trip to the docs...

Paris' Birthday Cake
after much deliberation Paris finally decided on a toadstall cake for her 11th birthday... so I set to making one...
This cake challenged me more than other cakes I've made for two reasons... it was my first time using fondant icing, and it was my first ever "double" layer cake...

1st Layer
second layer - and some detailing
The finished product
Now at this point, I must mention that I did not make the fondant fairies at all. These were made by a good friend of mine, with the help of her daughter and Paris

I love this photo
It was taken when Cam was 8mths old. He weaned himself a week later, so this photo is really quite important to me
From the same day - here are some other gorgeous pictures:
